CINCINNATI -- Seldom seen on the nine-game road trip, second baseman Adam Kennedy met Thursday with Cards manager Tony La Russa to discuss his abbreviated playing time.
Kennedy arrived at Great American Ball Park to find out he was missing from the lineup a third straight day against a Cincinnati Reds righthanded starter.
Kennedy confirmed speaking to the manager but offered little else, saying, "I don’t know how much (discussing the meeting) accomplishes."
