Checking in some recent ex-Redbirds:

Dan Haren, A’s: I don’t miss him because we don’t need him. He has a WHIP of 1.64, is allowing opponents a .780 OPS and has a 1.70 GO/AO after 44 IP. He’s nearing 25, so youth is no longer a huge variable with him. Good guy, though.

Edgar Renteria, BoSox: It is hard not to miss Ed-Garr. But he’s having a poor offensive season (.253/.306/.349) thus far.
