The Marlins added veteran depth and height to their pitching staff, signing 6-9 left-hander Mark Hendrickson to a one-year $1.5 million deal.
Non-tendered by the Dodgers last month, Hendrickson will join a rotation that includes Scott Olsen, Sergio Mitre, Andrew Miller and Ricky Nolasco or Rick VandenHurk.
Hendrickson lost eight of 12 decisions for the Dodgers last season splitting time between the rotation and bullpen. He struck out 92 batters and walked 29 in 122 2/3 innings.
