Yuniesky Betancourt had a huge day for the Mariners, gathering four hits to match his career high and driving in three runs as the Mariners clinched a non-losing season for the first time since 2003. Jamie Burke added two hits and drove in two runs. Jose Guillen also drove in a run.
Ichiro extended his hitting streak to 12 games and helped Hernandez (13-7) beat the A's for the fourth time this season, on a day that reminded players and coaches more of Candlestick Park in San Francisco than Oakland.
