Question New record by Barry Bonds - home run ?

So far, Bonds has 739 home runs, 16 from breaking Aaron's mark.
These days, his bat bursts home run - cannon.
Can he set a new record in this season?

What do you think about this?

He should have it by mid June IMO and maybe even sooner. He looks very strong this year and very healthy.

As I stated before the year begain on my mlb blog - I think Bonds will break the record on the last game BEFORE the all star break. He's actually on pace to do it earlier than that now... but I'm sure he'll slow down as he gets more and more walks. He's starting to get the IBB treatment... and really with the Giants weak offense there's no reason for opposining managers not to pitch around him as much as they can. I don't think they are doing it to slow down Bonds assault on the record book as the only thing thats going to stop Bonds from breaking Aaron's record is an injury or some sort of BS. They will are pitching around him because at age 42, he's still the best hitter in baseball. And he's also the best hitter of all time. Something truly amazing and beautiful to watch if you are a true baseball fan.

Interesting ... all of the contradictions that the Barry haters throw out there. For one when every other accused steroids user breaks down early (well before their 40th birthday) it's because of steroids but when Barry is going strong at 42 going on 43.. it's because of steroids? hm... bit of a contradiction there ?

And anyway - it's obvious that most of the players in mlb have "cheated" in some way or another with various substances. SO WHAT has to be the reasonable persons response. so what. It didn't make any of them anywhere near as good as Barry Bonds.

Go rub some cream into your legs and let me know if you can hit like Barry Bonds.

Im sick of hearing the bonds naysayers. Lets just enjoy some baseball here. I bet if bonds was on their favorite team they would be his biggest cheerleads too.

It's obvious Bonds was on steroids. Look how big his head is... and it wasn't that big when he played on the Pirates either.

The difference with Bonds and other 'cheaters', is that he is on pace to break the most coveted record in sports. AND he only could've done it by cheating. I hope he doesn't break it. Maybe baseball will get lucky and he'll break his ankle when he's walking to first base on an IBB.

I suggest to the MLB: Instead of an astrik* next to his name, they should put a tiny syringe.

Barry Blasted his 750th.. yesterday.

Bonds hit No. 750 on Friday night to lead off the eighth inning against the Diamondbacks at AT&T Park, placing him five away from tying Hank Aaron's magic 755 and six away from passing him for the lead on Major League Baseball's all-time list.
