As I stated before the year begain on my
mlb blog - I think Bonds will break the record on the last game BEFORE the all star break. He's actually on pace to do it earlier than that now... but I'm sure he'll slow down as he gets more and more walks. He's starting to get the IBB treatment... and really with the Giants weak offense there's no reason for opposining managers not to pitch around him as much as they can. I don't think they are doing it to slow down Bonds assault on the record book as the only thing thats going to stop Bonds from breaking Aaron's record is an injury or some sort of BS. They will are pitching around him because at age 42, he's still the best hitter in baseball. And he's also the best hitter of all time. Something truly amazing and beautiful to watch if you are a true baseball fan.
