Padres announce plans to sign decorated Marine to Minor League contract
SAN DIEGO, CA -- The San Diego Padres will be holding a press conference tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. PST at Marine Recruit Depot San Diego to announce plans to sign right-handed pitcher Cooper Brannan.
Brannan is a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and his service includes two tours of duty in Iraq. He sustained wounds to his left hand during his second deployment, which resulted in his being sent to San Diego Navy Medical Center for treatment and rehabilitation.
