pirates playing .500 baseball
Will this pirates team be competitive this season or finnish in dead last like in past years.
They do have some decent young arms, hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

I don't think that they will be a competitive team, but I dont think that they will finish dead last. I can see them finishing 3rd or 4th in the NL Central this year.
