Though both sides wound up offering the same amount of money in rights fees, the Pirates have decided to end their 52-year run on KDKA-AM (1020) and switch to WPGB-FM (104.7) as their flagship radio station because they feel the Clear Channel broadcast entities in Pittsburgh will help them connect with a younger audience. The official announcement of the switch will come Tuesday.
