MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Justin Morneau came through in the clutch again Tuesday night.

Morneau's two-run double highlighted a four-run eighth inning and the Minnesota Twins rallied for a 7-5 victory over the Oakland Athletics.

"I've been in that situation enough times that you learn to relax and do what you need to do and block everything else out," said Morneau, who was showered with chants of "MVP" after his big hit.

"Yeah, it was pretty cool with all the fans chanting," Morneau said. "But, the more important thing is the turnaround the team's had."

MINNEAPOLIS -- Dan Haren was so focused on his start Wednesday in Minnesota that he could barely sleep the night before.

Minus optimal rest, he allowed three hits in eight innings, and Milton Bradley scored the lone Oakland run as the Athletics won, 1-0, on Wednesday at Minnesota to avoid a three-game sweep.

Oakland, which started the day 4 1/2 games ahead of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the American League West Division, won for just the fourth time in nine games.
