Andy Pettitte pitched 5 shutout innings against the Toronto Blue Jays for the win. It was Pettitte's first start since his ankle was broken by a line drive in June. Andy Pettitte now has 244 career victories. He also has 19 postseason wins, the most by any pitcher in baseball. If not for injuries, Pettitte would be much closer to 300 wins than he is. He will probably pitch next year and position himself as a candidate for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
