We got to keep the momentum rolling. The sweep of the Mariners will mean next to nothing if we lose 2-3 or get swept by the Tigers.

^Well sa, it didn't work out that way for us, Pettite pitched well, but Joba gave up the long ball that killed us. We lost 5-3.

Damn what a deflating loss...I am really glad Wang is pitching today right after that, it should give us a great shot at bouncing back with a win. I really thought yesterday was going to be a solid 3-2 win with Joba and Mo going in the 8th and 9th.
It was good to see that it really bothered Joba giving up that HR...I think he'll bounce back strong from that and be ready in his next outing.

Yankees 6, Indians 3
Johnny Damon kicked off the scoring with a solo homer in the fourth inning. (AP)

Both hitting below .200, Robinson Cano and Jason Giambi gave the Yankees a big boost Thursday. Cano had a pair of hits, including a solo homer, while Giambi hit a two-run shot. Johnny Damon and Wilson Betemit also went deep to back Mike Mussina's fourth straight win.

Paul Byrd couldn't hold down the Yankees, allowing three homers, including two in a three-run fourth inning. Masa Kobayashi also allowed a dinger, and the Tribe couldn't come up with the sweep despite strong production out of Casey Blake and Kelly Shoppach at the bottom of the order.
