OaklandYankee is on a distinguished road
Default How should the Yanks rebuild this off season?

I think they should sign solid, consistent and relatively cheap guys like Mike Cameron and Eric Byrnes to replace Abre and (hopefully) Damon. They could get Cameron for 3 years/36 million and Eric Byrnes for 3 years/21 million.

They'd actually add pop to the line up. Abreu and Damon would be gone. And by the time Cameron and Byrnes' contracts were up, Cano and Cabrera will have hopefully developed enough to suitably replace those two. And I wouldn't be surprised if Matusi possibly retired in a couple of years when this current contract is up, though he is having a career year in the US, so who really knows?

And as far as pitching goes...as usual, it's slim pickens.

We still need to get some young arms in here, and load up on bull pen help. As far as Mike Cameron is concern he is a great defense player, but his offense is inconsistent, I remember when he was with the Mets, all he did was strike out. lol All in all we must load up on some young pitching arm.
