Selig Weighs Whether To Sanction Giambi

Commissioner Bud Selig has received a report from the three lawyers who met with the Yankees’ Jason Giambi on Wednesday regarding his tacit comments about steroid use. Giambi told USA Today last week, “I was wrong for doing that stuff” in an article focused on steroids.
Rich Levin, a spokesman, said Selig, who received the report yesterday, was traveling to Phoenix last night for the Memorial Day weekend and was not planning to make a statement about Giambi by today. Selig may wait until early next week to take action.
