Billy Wagner allowed himself a moment of celebration - a pump of the fist - after recording his 300th save yesterday. Then he chided himself for the on-field show of emotion. Still, he was happy.
"I don't do that every time," Wagner said after the Mets' 7-6 victory over the Pirates. "It was a situation where it was a big milestone for me, a big win. If my grandfather would have saw it, he'd have rolled over in his grave. There's no room for hot dogs. To do that is totally out of character."
