The Yankees last night began a stretch of 11 days before their next home game, and Joe Torre believes the time away will be a good thing for Alex Rodriguez because of the fans' nearly constant booing.

"I think it's sort of the thing to do now," Torre said. "Even [Sunday] night, he made an out after the two home runs and it's like mock booing. It's become a fun thing. All these reality shows on TV make everybody feel like they should be part of the action."

i think its pathetic...for all yall yankees fans i think its pathetic...all arod did last year for yall and yall can do is boo him for being in a slump, which everyoe goes through in their career...i dont think his numbers are that bad for a slumping season...19 hr 65 rbis..

Agreed that is just ridiculous. He is the former AL MVP and frankly, if the Yankees dont have him right now, that team would really be struggling without Sheffield, Matsuii, Pavano, Dotel, and Cano.
