hey please can sum1 tell me who owned the mets cos i met sum1 today whos going out with a guy who's dad use to own the mets and the yankees, so could u guys tell me if the mets and the yankees were ever owned by the same guy? please, thanks.

I am not sure putting I think your friend is having you on, I think that George Steinbrener has owned the Yankees for longer then the the Mets have existed and I don't think that he ever owned the Mets.
