Some guy in another forum is sure Dice-K is an elite pitcher and better then Peavy and Johan... Anyone else believe Dice-K is on the top tier of baseball pitching?

He can't be put over Johan or Peavy because he lacks their track record in MLB. Does he have the potential? Sure, but so do a bunch of other guys.

He's trying to be Nolan Ryan, and that's his problem. He's either getting K's or walks....not giving up many hits--but that leads to high pitch counts and 5-inning appearances. That doesn't help your club.

Right now he's going out there and getting the job done. He's gritty, that's why hes a winner. Let's just hope he's not injured after last night.

Dice-k is an elite pitcher, even though he throws a lot of walks, look at him back in Japan. Didn't he throw like 200 pitches in his high school final or something? As long as he gets the wins, thats what matters. Johan isn't getting wins. Matsuzaka has 8 wins this year so he is up there.
