ESPN - MLB Baseball Team Statistics - Major League Baseball

the unit threw last night was hitting 96 on the gun for the 1st time this year and his location seems to be improving he got the win and with the win the backs starters are 15-4..he seems to be getting stronger every start... after 3 starts has his era down to 2.70
the word only gets better if your a back fan doug davis will return to the Rotation some time this upcoming week and should solidify what allot people feel is the deepest rotation in baseball 1. Webb 5-0 2.31ERA 2. Haren 3-1 3.03 3. Davis 1-1 3.72 4. Owings 4-0 2.42 5. Johnson 1-1 2.70

My list would look something like this, though not necessarily in this order:
  • San Diego Padres
Jake Peavy and Chris Young are legitimate aces, Randy Wolf has always been strong when healthy, Greg Maddux has a great deal of gas left in the tank, and Justin Germano has very good stuff, he just needs more experience.
  • Arizona Diamondbacks
Brandon Webb may be the best pitcher in the game, Dan Haren seems to be proving that his first half in 2007 was no fluke, Micah Owings and Randy Johnson are solid, and Max Scherzer has a ton of potential.
  • Los Angeles Dodgers
Brad Penny and Derek Lowe could front many staffs, Hiroki Kuroda has been quite successful thus far, Chad Billingsley has great stuff, and Hong-Chih Kuo has impressed in limited time.
  • Toronto Blue Jays
Roy Halladay is a top five pitcher, AJ Burnett is a force when healthy, and Dustin McGowan, Shaun Marcum, and Jesse Litsch are three of the best young pitchers in the game.
  • Seattle Mariners
Felix Hernandez and Erik Bedard are aces that are still improving, Carlos Silva is an above-average innings eater with great control, and Jarrod Washburn and Miguel Batista are more than serviceable at the end of the rotation.

Smile Top 5 Rotations

Diamond Backs — Webb, Haren, Owings 12-3 so far this season, Max Scherzer is oozing potential and Randy Johnson can still pitch.

Dodgers — Penny, Lowe, Kuroda, Billingsley the Dodgers have solid pitching throughout the lineup

Padres — The Padres basically have 2 No. 1 pitchers in Peavy and Chris Young, and Greg Maddux and Justin Germano churn out good outings now and then

Red Sox — Josh Beckett and Dice-K will be great this season Jon Lester is a solid starter. Clay Bucholz could be a future No. 1 and Wakefield is a little up and down

Braves — With Smoltz healthy they have a great 1-2 punch in Smoltz and Hudson, Jair Jurrjens is a pleasent surprise and Tom Glavine is an olde but goode

Default Colon

If Colon Stays healthy/consistent, the Sox are gonna be on a par with the dbacks for sure.
