The sad part of everything is, there are actually decent Red Sox fans out there. Good people with actual fact-based opinion. It's the lunatic fringe that makes most of them look bad. I prove them wrong, yet they still live in thier fantacy world. Go ahead, Tony. Live in denial that the Red Sox were assembled through the Free agent market.
Like I said, only 19 to go.
What point of "it dosen't matter where the player was aqquired from, they were still developed by the Red Sox organization" didn't you get? Typical Yankee fan, anything Steinbrener does or says is the gospel, and any other way is crap. But hey, like I said, at least you had the late 70s.
I understood what you said, but that doesn't make it true. The ONLY player you might have "developed by the Red Sox organization" was David Ortiz. Of course, many feel he got his "developing" in another way. As for you going on about the Steinbrenner way. THE RED SOX ARE BUILT BY THE FREE AGENT MARKET. You can rationalize and rivise history all you want, but you're not fooling anyone.
You're right we had the late 70's.
....and the 20s, the 30s, 40s, 50s, early 60s, 90s, 2000......
Only 19 to go. Don't worry, by the time the Red Sox catchup, both of us will be long gone.
im back....weee are the champs...all i smell is victory and trophy polish....but the party is over its time for thoughts of 08....
BOSTON REDSOX 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD WHOOOOOOOOOOO
Wow, man, you have been partying for a looooooooong time. You need sometime to rest before you can even think about '08. Settle down, kick back, and wait a bit. There's still five months to go.

But I think it's 2007 now, and we're the WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS, while your organization falls apart. You can give me all the history lessons you'd like, but the banner's going up at Fenway this year!

my world is reality .two WS championships in four years .that's no fantasy lol.a yankmee fan talking about free agents is to funny.YANKEE PAYROLL IS OVER 200 MILLION THE SOX IS BETWEEN 150 AND 160.THATS A BIG DIFFERENCE .the last time i checked signing free agents isn't against the rules so what differece does it make .good teams utilize free agency and the farm system .ellsbury youkilis Dustin p john Lester clay [no hit]bucholtz all home grown and thats more than a few .tek has spent his entire big league career as a red sox player except for some time in the minors with Seattle .we got him and Dlowe for heath cliff Slocum in a trade .having a good GM is part of having a great team .your trying to diminish what the sox did because your jealous and bitter and spoiled .you cant handle the fact that the redsox are now a better team and better run.your Yankee dynasty days are dead .deal with it and stop crying like i said enjoy living in the past lmao. THE BOSTON REDSOX 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS .ITS STINGS LIKE A BITCH DOESNT IT LMAO

YOUR OBVIOUSLY IN A LOT OF PAIN .I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU .TIME TO PUT IN ANOTHER VIDEO TAPE LMAO
Ok guys. Let's stop being jerks. Yanks and Sox fans need to acknowledge that both teams have used the free agent market to help build their teams around their already established players. They have both had their years, Boston's being the most recent and New York having the greater winning franchise. The Sox had a tough stretch but now they're on top. It's ridiculous to say that either teams fans are jealous of the other, so let's stop acting like children and agree to disagree.

This is what Red Sox and Yankee fans do though. They debate, and argue. It's as much a part of baseball as Jackie Robinson, or steriods.

Yes, I know this. I am a Yankee fan myself. But when no new talking points surface, other than the Sox fans saying the Yankees suck now and the NY fans bringing up the 86 year drought, it gets kinda old. I can understand the debate about the free agent market, that was a good one, but if you don't have anything new to bring up besides the two previous disses I've used as examples than don't write it down. Get some originality guys.
