What point of "it dosen't matter where the player was aqquired from, they were still developed by the Red Sox organization" didn't you get? Typical Yankee fan, anything Steinbrener does or says is the gospel, and any other way is crap. But hey, like I said, at least you had the late 70s.

BOSTON RED SOX 2007 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS.

I understood what you said, but that doesn't make it true. The ONLY player you might have "developed by the Red Sox organization" was David Ortiz. Of course, many feel he got his "developing" in another way. As for you going on about the Steinbrenner way. THE RED SOX ARE BUILT BY THE FREE AGENT MARKET. You can rationalize and rivise history all you want, but you're not fooling anyone.

You're right we had the late 70's.

....and the 20s, the 30s, 40s, 50s, early 60s, 90s, 2000......

Only 19 to go. Don't worry, by the time the Red Sox catchup, both of us will be long gone.

Wow, man, you have been partying for a looooooooong time. You need sometime to rest before you can even think about '08. Settle down, kick back, and wait a bit. There's still five months to go.

But I think it's 2007 now, and we're the WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS, while your organization falls apart. You can give me all the history lessons you'd like, but the banner's going up at Fenway this year!

Ok guys. Let's stop being jerks. Yanks and Sox fans need to acknowledge that both teams have used the free agent market to help build their teams around their already established players. They have both had their years, Boston's being the most recent and New York having the greater winning franchise. The Sox had a tough stretch but now they're on top. It's ridiculous to say that either teams fans are jealous of the other, so let's stop acting like children and agree to disagree.

This is what Red Sox and Yankee fans do though. They debate, and argue. It's as much a part of baseball as Jackie Robinson, or steriods.

Yes, I know this. I am a Yankee fan myself. But when no new talking points surface, other than the Sox fans saying the Yankees suck now and the NY fans bringing up the 86 year drought, it gets kinda old. I can understand the debate about the free agent market, that was a good one, but if you don't have anything new to bring up besides the two previous disses I've used as examples than don't write it down. Get some originality guys.
