I've seen some video myself, and to mee it looks like a hanging slider.
Gopher-ball to a bigleaguer.

Looks to me that Randy has/had the same pitch. It was called a slider, his had a ton of movement... Why didn't they call his a Gyro?

lol. although i agree lets tone it down, this is supposed to be about the mystical gyro ball, not another yankee vs. red sox match.
