Default DiNardo claimed off waivers by Oakland

FORT, MYERS -- The Red Sox today announced that lefthanded pitcher Lenny DiNardo has been claimed off waivers by the Oakland A's.
In addition, outfielder J.D. Drew, who was signed as a free agent on Jan. 26, has been officially added to the major league roster, putting Boston's roster at 40 players.

DiNardo, 27, was 1-2 with a 7.85 earned run average in 13 games, including six starts, with the Red Sox in 2006. The lefthander was on the disabled list from May 24 until Aug. 31 with neck problems. He is 1-3 with a 5.53 ERA in 43 games/7 starts with Boston from 2004-06. DiNardo was selected by the Red Sox from the New York Mets organization in the December 2003 Rule 5 Draft.

DiNardo has been added to Oakland's major league roster.

Red Sox pitchers and catchers officially report to the club's spring training camp in Fort Myers, Florida on Friday. That group will undergo physicals and conditioning work on Saturday with the first workout scheduled for Sunday. The reporting date for position players is Feb. 20 with physicals and conditioning the following day. Boston's first full workout is Feb. 22. The club is expected to have 58 players, including 18 non-roster invitees, in major league camp.

i used to think he could've been a decent pitcher for us but hes been so injury prone that at this point i dont care that hes gone and im glad that he is.
