What effect does the "one foot in the batters box at all times" rule have on someone like Nomar Garciaparra? The whole batting glove thing, adjusting the bat, etc...

I like the idea of the game moving a bit faster too. We'll just have to see them enforce it and see what happens.

I took the rule as yuo had to be on the rubber and getting signs then the 12 starts.

Its gonna drive him crazy and he'll probably bat like .220 cause he won't be focused on the pitch cause he'll be too anxious about his batting gloves. lol jk. it will be interesting to see how he adjusts though.

I just hope it's something they are serious about, I think it needs to be done. It's just too much for the batter to be up there taking that much time and same with the pitchers as well.

Well if its gonna affect a guys performance, which i think it could have a minor effect on guys like Nomar, then you cant enforce it 100%.

I think it has to start somewhere though, some of these guys seem to run the game at their own pace, I almost ran onto the field to attack Trachsel numerous times lol. There a thin line but there has to be an enforced line IMO

im not saying dont enforce but with vets like Nomar either start slow and let them break the habit or have exceptions cause some of them wont be able to break there tendencies and habits.
