Interesting question I came up with tonite...

Ok, what if A-Rod became a Red Sock and never became a Yankee!

Let's say he had the same stats for the last 3 years while wearing the Sox uniform. Would he still be the most "overrated" player? You think you guys would've still won the championship?

Imagine the lineup with A-Rod batting in between Manny and Ortiz... A-Rod manning SS for the next 5-7 years.

Do you think you would've won the WS with him?

Would you want him on the roster in 08 or would you be praying for Theo to trade his ass for 2 prospects and a decent SS?

Please be completely honest, I can smell BS when I read it...

As a Yankee fan and having a close relationship with joek and the WIN METHOD. I cringed when the Yankees signed Arod. I was ecstatic when the bosux orignally signed him because I felt they had lowered their team quality and that meant they had no way of beating out the Yankees. Sadly Arod became a Yankee and the Yankee team quality deteriorated and the bosux reached equal terms with the Yankees. joek had said these same things even before Arod palyed a game in a Yankee uniform. Arod hurts teams, does not help them. joek said the other Yankees would have to pick up Arods slack to be able to accomplish what they had been accomplishing. I would trade Arod for Lowell straight up right now and laugh all the way to the WS bank.

No offense but that would be the dumbest trade in the history of mankind. Glad you're no GM. I'd start with a package that includes Manny and some farm hands.

I think Red Sox fans are more, i guess understanding, of what A-Rod is going through right now and i dont think they'd be quite as had on him. And theres no way in hell we wouldve won the Series if we had gotten him instead of Schil. Schil was basically the reason we won it with his Bloody Sock game, cause we werent going to be stopped after we did the Yankees. I still get goosebumps when i think about what we did to them

It is never a dumb trade when you dump someone who does not help your team for someone who does. Individual stats are meaningless. It is the winning that matters.

No question the bosux fans are more understanding. The understand very well being beaten time and again by the Yankees. They have learned to accept defeat. Yankee fans learn to live with defeat, but never accept it as a way of life. I've had winning goosebumps so many times, I cannot count them all.

You honestly think Lowell gives the Yankees a better chance to win? Seriously thats obsurd. You base all your arguements on the fact that A-Rod hasn't won a ring yet. Well guess what, don't be surprised if he does a Peyton Manning on hater this upcoming season.

Do you even realize that the Yankees haven't had a championship type pitching staff since atleast 2003? It wasn't A-Rod who lost all those games to the Tigers last year... Come on, look at what has been plaguing the Yanks for the last 4-5 years. You're just bashing him because thats the in thing to do.

Your just like the rest of the boneheaded fans who boo him or the media types who feed the crap to them. It's come down to pitching and nothing else. Not his glove, not his contract or his errors.

I bet if I asked any RSN fan in here they would gladly trade Manny for ARod straight up. They would love ARod playing SS for them as opposed to Manny in RF.

i would never ever trade manny for arod .give me a break .manny is the best right hand hitter in the game .and hes completely oblivious to pressure of any kind .arod has rabbit ears and cares so deeply what everybody thinks about him .hes far to preoccupied with his image instead of just playing baseball

yeh pretty much ever since arod put pen to that pinstriped paper, its all been about image image image. he hasent for one second thought if he is actually benifitting from being in new york.....well he could have but the yanks just throw a couple more mil at him and tell him to suck it up
