I think you're probably thinking I'm making Utley sound inferior to Cano but I'm not. I get to see Cano play alot and he just seems to me like he's bored at 2nd. He makes things look so easy when he fields. Utley on the limited time that I have seen him just makes some great plays with his hustle. He has made some extremely great plays. I'm not taking anything away from Utley, they just have two diferrent styles of play.

To side with Cano a little bit, the kid hasn't fully grown into his body either. He has a really nice swing and if he bulked up just a few pounds, he can easily avg 25HRs a year a YS. I'll take that. Believe you me, he will not be hitting 9th very long. Once Abreu leaves I can see a lineup similar to this.

1# who knows...
2# Cano
3# Jeter
4# Arod

1. Damon
2. Cano
3. Jeter
4. Rodriguez
5. Abreu

Perhaps a month in the season. Cano is going to win the batting title very soon. He's a solid batter and a spectacular defenseman, since the yankees had Soriano.

Are you kidding me? If the Yankees had Utley that offense would be unstoppable. You guys would win so many more World Series with Utley than you will with Cano. Utley isn't lucky enough to have Giambi, A-Rod, Jeter, Abreu, Damon, and Matsui on his team with him. He has Howard and who else, and don't say Burrell, Burrell is a joke.

Utley would be a reserve infielder on the Yankee team. That says it all.

Both guys are superstars ... Cano is just starting to show what he has while Utley is already there.

I would trade anyday for either of these two!

You are probably right. However, as I stated with Jeter, Arod, and Cano in the Yankee infield, Utley sits on the bench. In reality, the Yankees would not go after Utley unless they traded one of their threesome. They are smart enough not to waste him on the bench. And that is where he would be on the present Yankee team.

That's boarderline flaming right there....

There is no way you can say that and have it hold any weight. Utley is viewed by many if not all as the best 2nd baseman in baseball right now. A back up for Cano just wouldn't happen, but it was funny

No not flaming, more like almost a sure thing. Do you think Utley would replace either Arod or Jeter, or a .340 hitter in his first full season in baseball. Players who all helped their team to the playoffs, while Utley could not do the same. I wouldn't trade any of the three for Utley. So that leaves him on the bench.

He would replace Cano who would probably hit the OF and still bat 9th.... and Utley would be a 3-4-5 hitter. I understand being a fan and all but WOW

I am not just syaing who you would start/sit, but almost all of baseball sees Utley as the best 2 bagger in the game right now...
