He is underatted, I expect him to have a bounce back year this year. I read an article that said he blamed it on his contacts saying that he couldn't use them because the bothered him during the games. So this off season he got the Lasik surgery done and has perfect vision, so we'll see.

I have to say for overatted is a guy like Bobby Crosby this guys has done next to nothing and it seems as though every year he is talked about as being a star. peter Gammons picked him as MVP last season!!

i wouldn't say he is overrated, just injury prone. hes a really good player when healthy, some think he could be the next Tejada or A-Rod.

It's not like when hes hurt that the numbers are there. He had glimpses opf potentialin his rookie year with 22 HR's and 64 RBI's but toss in that .239 and it hurts.

'05 .276...9 HR and 38 RBI's in 333 ab's

'06 .229....9 and 40 in 358 ab's

And like you said people think he will be the next A-Rod or Tejeda, I don't know what they see that warrents such high praise. That's why I see him as overatted.

But yeah, i don't think you can label him as overrated yet, hes only been in the league for what? 3 years, 4 at most? I think if he stays healthy this year he'll break out big time.

You're right 3 years but it just seems like if it was anyone else after posting seasons like that, that they wouldnt get as much attention, especially to say A-Rod ,material.
