i wasn't saying that Cano is injury prone, i was saying that Utley is more durable. as far as i remember he has never missed a large amount of time in his pro career.

So if Utley goes down for 30 or so games this year and Cano plays 150+ Cano instantly becomes more durable. Niether has played long enough to make any argument to that as yet. But one has quickly helped his team to the playoffs and the other has not.

I sure hope this site isnt filled with irrational yankee homers like yourself...if not it's going to be a short stay for me... youre playoff statement holds no water becuase if you put that team around the Phillies and Utley goes to the playoffs..do you know how many games the phillies would have lost without Utley? Now, without Cano how many games would the yankees have lost? Not many becuase he is not a huge part of thier offense like Utley in the Phillies.
And I'm done with this argument becuase me and Nats keep showing you every part of the equation that makes you wrong, and you bring weak comments to the table, why dont you bring some evidence, instead of repeating everything over and over again.

It's just like the old site - Any poster that defends a player who is currently, or has ever been a Yankee is instantly a 'Yankee Homer' and that name alone is sufficent arguement against anything he/she says

MR. W Marrone, it was so eloquently stated by SLagonia """It's just like the old site - Any poster that defends a player who is currently, or has ever been a Yankee is instantly a 'Yankee Homer' and that name alone is sufficient argument against anything he/she says."""
When we use fact that a player helps his team to the playoff and another doesn't, the other side (your side) responds with ifs, ands, and buts. If he played here and the other guy played there. All conjecture and supposition. Great for the fantasy games. However, in the real world, what actually occurs determines the facts. Cano is better than Utley, and as I previously stated, let us all just see how another year shakes out. In the end, I would much rather be a Yankee homer than a Yankee hater.

Homer or Hater .. either way it sparks conversation!
We all have our opinions about players ... I can't say who is better yet Cano or Utley .. Utley had better numbers last year, but it was Cano's first. I agree with you guys .. lets see how everyone does this year, but ... I thought the subject of the thread was who is underrated ... not who is the best!?!?

Underrated, underrated is a guy like Matt Holliday....no one talks about him, and he's a stud.

Last year was Cano's second, not first.

Give me a break...so far you have brought up no actual facts to support your claim except...well..the yankees make the playoffs. Let me hear some legitamate reasons and maybe I'll understand your thinking other than...he's young and he's been to the playoffs.
