Sorry but I don't agree. Torre is the right manager for this team. Let's not get it twisted. Showalter is a great manager, he managed scraps and got the best out of them. He imo is better than Torre. Torre makes me scratch my head way too many times, with his gut-feelings.

Torre has an annual All Star team to manage. The Yankees have a great clubhouse, credit Torre, Jeets, Giambi and Damon for that. This I think is the major reason why the Yanks win now and in the past. But to say that this year is his best year is a stretch. Look at the previous lineups. Oneil, Bernie, Fielder, Boggs, Brosius. Those lineups just don't stack up to what he have now, minus Sheff and Matsui.
