hah...your funny... how could howard not be in your top 3....the nl mvp is defintely between, pujols and howard.....
1. Pujols
2. Reyes
3. Berkman
4. Howard
5. Beltran
really I rate Reyes higher than I should, same with Berkman, actually not that I think about it, Drop Reyes to 4 and move everyone up one, so Ryan Howard is in my top 3.
well if thats the case then, dye wouldnt be 1, b/c his team, as of right now, wouldnt be in the playoffs....
His team has a chance to make the playoffs, and has a chance to win the division, Red Sox have no shot. big difference, and it can be argued the Dye's stats are almost on par with Ortiz's taking everything into consideration.
You said that most people would be surprised if Jetes won. I'm trying to show you that the majority of voters in US of A are voting for Jeter instead of Ortiz. Proving my point that a majority of "people" are voting for DJ and not Ortiz.
The question was asked about who should win and I said statistically, Jeter is right there along with Ortiz with total runs produced (rbi's and runs scored). Look it up. Along with a much higher batting avg. and his team is also clinching the East.Jeter is also the best #2 hitter in Baseball. Ortiz, and it can be argued is or isn't the best 3 or 4 hitter.... With Jeter it's clear he is the best. Along with everything else just mentioned it's obvious why he is the favorite.
or maybe hes your favorite, b/c your a yankee fan, just a thought....lol and i hope you had a mis-type when you said that jeter was up their with big papi in rbis....im sorry, i dont think its obvious that jeter is a favorite and from an unbiased stand point, i think big papi is the favorite....

So the guy doesnt get on any ones list just because his team is out of it...the term is "most valuable player." Where are the Nationals without Soriano? They have no starting pitching and there batting lineup would be awful without him. How many timed do you see a leadoff batter hit over 40 HR's and close to 50. He is only the 4th player in the history of MLB to be in the 40/40 club. But he doesnt deserve to be a canidate??? You must be joking.

he isn't on anyone's list because his team has no shot at the playoffs and Howard/Pujols/ect do and have very good stats also.
first off, i dont think thats a good reason for someone not to win the mvp, b/c there team isnt going to make the playoffs....if you look at the stats, howard and pujols are the front runners for nl mvp followed by soriano....al mvp front runnners are papi and jeter, followed closely by dye and the morneau....

I never said he doesn't deserve to be a canidate, he has had a great season, one for the record books, but Take Pujols off the of the Cardinals and they are fighting with the Cubs for worst in the division. Alfonso Soriano, if he was on a team with a record close to the wild card then he would be the hands down MVP, I don't think this will be a case like A-Rod's where the MVP will come from a team that isn't in the playoffs, that goes for both leagues.
