I think it's has alot more to do with his fielding. He seems to be bringing his fielding woes to his at bats. He's a pretty sensitive guy imho, and NY media is way too hard on him, beginning with Lupica. Cashman has reiterated countless times how A-Rod isn't going nowhere, it was never even discussed in the front office. He just needs to just relax and be more thick skinned like Jeter and Giambi.
Funny how Jeter had that 0 for-ever streak and we all chanted "Lets GO Jeter!". It was a few years back, when I went to the stadium and he whiffed 3 times against Minnesota. The whole crowd chanted for him that night, not once did the media even mention how he should be traded. They even had a daily stat on Jeter in the Daily News about his 0 for 30ish streak, not once was he treated like how A-Rod has been treated in the Bronx. No one booed, no one commented, they all just seemed sad for DJ at the time.
