9 and oh: Weaver's a perfect match
Jered Weaver pitched seven scoreless innings on Friday night to lead the Angels past the Mariners, 3-0, at a sold-out Angel Stadium.
The 23-year-old became only the second American League rookie in history to win the first nine decisions of his career. Yankees Hall of Famer Whitey Ford is the other, accomplishing the feat in 1950.
Weaver struck out seven, walked one and allowed three hits in beating the Mariners for the second time this year.
Closer Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his 33rd save. With the A's dropping both halves of a doubleheader to the Royals, the Angels climbed to within 4 1/2 games of first in the American League West.

Well he's kind of had it in me ever since i accidentally ran over his dog. Actually, replace "accidentally" with "repeatedly" and replace "dog" with "son".
