The Washington Nationals welcomed back a major cog in the lineup Tuesday night, activating three-time All-Star second baseman Jose Vidro from the disabled list. Vidro had been out since May 4, when he severely sprained his left ankle in a slide at home plate against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was hitting .290 with four home runs and 15 RBIs in 28 games at the time of the injury.
