C.C. Sabathia was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday by the Cleveland Indians, an expected move with the left-hander sidelined until mid-April because of an oblique injury. Sabathia hurt his right side while warming up for a spring training start earlier this month. On Thursday, he threw 45 pitches off a mound and said he expects to return to the rotation by mid-April.
