RoughRiders partner with TXA 21 for game broadcasts
Frisco, TX - The Frisco RoughRiders and TXA 21 have teamed together to broadcast select RoughRiders games during the 2008, 2009, and 2010 seasons.
RoughRiders announcer and Lone Star Emmy Award winner Scott Garner will do the play-by-play on all 10 of the broadcasts in 2008. Garner was awarded an Emmy following the 2006 season for best television play-by-play broadcast. The game broadcasts will feature a five minute pregame show and postgame shows up to 30 minutes in length.
"We are excited to add RoughRiders games to TXA 21's schedule of local sports broadcasts," said TXA 21 Senior Vice President and Station Manager Gary Schneider. "The team is a lot of fun to watch, and we hope to introduce more North Texans to Texas League baseball!"
Scott Sonju, RoughRiders President and General Manager, echoed Schneider's sentiments about the relationship.
"We are constantly exploring new avenues to bring RoughRiders baseball to our fans in North Texas. There is no better venue for this than TXA 21, which already has an extensive and outstanding background in sports broadcasts."

Naturals Rotation Candidate Named Royals Minor League Pitcher of the Year for 2007 Campaign
The Kansas City Royals have named left-handed pitcher Rowdy Hardy as a recipient of the Alex George Royals Minor League Player of the Year award for 2007. Hardy is viewed by the organization as a potential rotation candidate for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals this season.
Hardy, 25, dominated in the Carolina League in 2007, compiling a 15-5 mark with a 2.48 ERA in 26 appearances, including 22 starts for the Wilmington Blue Rocks, the Royals affiliate at the Advanced-A level. The 6-foot-4, 170-pound southpaw started for the Carolina League in the Carolina-California League All-Star Game and was also named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Year following the season by a vote of the league managers. A control specialist, Hardy tossed three complete games and issued just 16 walks in 167 innings. Hardy is a Bethel Springs, TN resident and was signed by the Royals as a non-drafted free agent in 2006.
Triple-A infielder Mike Aviles was the position player named to receive the same award. Aviles hit .296 with 17 homers and 77 RBI last season for the Omaha Royals, the Royals' Triple-A affiliate.
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are the Double-A Texas League affiliate of the Kansas City Royals and will begin play at state-of-the-art Arvest Ballpark, located in Springdale, on Thursday, April 10th against the San Antonio Missions. You can purchase season tickets and group outings with the Naturals by calling (479) 927-4900. There are 78 DAYS REMANING until Opening Day!

LA and IE Team Up On New Exclusive Ticket Package
San Bernardino, CA - When the Dodgers decided to move their high "A" affiliate from Dodgertown in Vero Beach, Florida to San Bernardino, California, they did it with the fans' best interest in mind. Dodgertown will always have a special spot in the hearts of those who bleed blue, but now Dodgers fans in southern California can see the stars of tomorrow without a plane ticket or even a full tank of gasoline.
The Dodgers are taking advantage of having their farm system in their own backyard. The 66ers and Dodgers have teamed up for an exclusive ticket package that will allow you to see the present and future Dodgers. The organizations will offer eight games, two contests in Los Angeles and six games in the Inland Empire. The six games with the 66ers will be any six games of your choice. The two with the Dodgers will be on Saturday, June 7th vs. the Cubs and Sunday, August 17th vs. Brewers. The seats to the Dodgers games are located in the Infield Reserve section. The total package is valued at $110 for Executive Box seats and $98 for Upper Box. The final cost has been discounted to $65 for Executive Box and $50 for Upper Box.
For any current 66ers season plan holder, you are eligible for the selected Dodgers games. The total cost for both games is just $20!
This offer comes on the heels of another exclusive package given only to 66ers season plan holders, which allowed them to order tickets to the March 29th battle at the Coliseum between the Dodgers and Red Sox. The exhibition series will mark the 50th Anniversary of the team moving to California. The original offer sold out in less than a day proving to the Dodgers that the fans of the Inland Empire are true blue Dodgers fanatics. Since then, the 66ers have been allotted more tickets by the Dodgers for the LA-Boston game and a handful of tickets still remain.
The 66ers get back into the swing of things on April 3rd against the Visalia Oaks. For questions or to order this once-in-a-lifetime offer, call the Inland Empire 66ers front office at (909) 888-9922 or go online to ie66ers.com: Home.
