Default Aiken Foxhounds Website Launched

AIKEN, SC--Aiken County's newest professional baseball franchise proudly announces the launch of their new website located at aikenbaseball.com: Home or aikenbaseball.com: Home. Complete with ticket information, stadium facts, employment information, and much more, the site features the many bells and whistles of the typical minor league baseball franchise. The new site's design and web-hosting will be provided by Texas-based Infinity Pro Sports.

"We are very excited about the launch of the new Foxhounds website. We feel that the site is user friendly and will be an asset to all of our fans. We encourage you to give us feedback as you navigate around the site and hope that you check the site frequently for all the action leading up to Opening Day and throughout the 2007 season," added Bradley Bell, General Manager of the Aiken Foxhounds.

Aiken becomes the 5th team website to launch for the newly formed South Coast League of Professional Baseball. Besides the basics, fans can learn about the Aiken Foxhounds Host Family Program, Cooperate Partnerships, and the Kids Club!

The Aiken ballclub will take the field at Roberto Hernandez Stadium, home of the USC-Aiken Pacers. Unlike minor league teams that are affiliated, the Independent Aiken Foxhounds franchise will be responsible for scouting, signing and paying their own players. Aiken, Anderson, SC, Albany, GA, Bradenton, FL, Charlotte County, FL and Macon, GA will compete in the South Coast League, which is an independent professional baseball league located in the Southeastern U.S. First pitch is slated for May of 2007.

Default Tricarico promoted to Redfish GM, Roque to league office

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL - The South Coast League of Professional Baseball, the southeast's newest independent minor league baseball circuit, is pleased to announce the promotions of Steven Tricarico and Omar Roque. Roque will be rejoining the league office as the Vice President of League Operations while Tricarico will take over as General Manager of the Charlotte County Redfish, a title formerly held by Roque.

Roque, 27, returns to the league office in Conyers after helping the Charlotte County franchise get off the ground. As the former Redfish GM, he was instrumental in building and developing relationships within the surrounding community. Roque began his tenure with the SCL as Director of Public and Media Relations.

"While I have enjoyed and valued my time in Southwest Florida, I am excited by the opportunity to be a part of the continued growth of the South Coast League," said Roque.

Prior to joining the SCL, Roque spent two seasons as Assistant General Manager of the Greeneville (TN) Astros of the Appalachian League. During his time in Greeneville (affiliated-Rookie), Omar helped establish a new market and a brand new $10 million facility. The team led the league in attendance during both of his seasons. Omar's previous experience also includes a season in Bradenton, FL with the Pittsburgh Pirates Florida Operations Department.

"Omar has consistently performed well for the South Coast League and his performance warrants this promotion to Vice President of League Operations," said South Coast League Chief Executive Officer Jamie Toole. "We are certainly leaving the Charlotte County market is good hands with Steve Tricarico who we feel is one of the up and coming operators in our industry."

Taking over for Roque is former Redfish AGM Steven Tricarico, who continues to flourish in each role he has held with the SCL. Tricarico has already made his presence felt throughout the community by speaking to local youth during YMCA summer camps, and during Red Ribbon Week in Port Charlotte. His outgoing personality and desire to succeed have allowed Tricarico to continue to thrive in a demanding profession.

"I couldn't be happier with the success we have had so far in Charlotte County," said Tricarico. "I look forward to the Redfish Staff playing an important role in the community and bringing life back to the Sports Park."

Prior to joining the Redfish, Tricarico worked as a Sales Associate for the Salem Avalanche (Class A-Advanced). During the summer of 2005, Steven also doubled as the On-Field Emcee for the Avalanche. During his time in Salem, he helped the club establish an all-time attendance record of more than 250,000 fans in one season. A graduate of Radford University, Tricarico continues to set and achieve high goals for himself and his organization.

"Every night is going to be something new at the ballpark and I can't wait to see the joy and excitement of the fans here this upcoming May," added Tricarico.

The South Coast League is a six-team based independent professional baseball league located in the Southeastern U.S. First pitch is scheduled for May of 2007.
