Rodriguez (5-7) went a total of five innings, surrendering four runs on five hits.

Daniel Davidson came out of the Travs' bullpen in the sixth and got into a similar situation, loading the bases with no outs. Davidson wasn't as fortunate, as Reid Gorecki's RBI single made it a 5-1 game. Larry Bigbie followed with a sac fly, putting Springfield in front 6-1.
