A poor spring by Carlos Villanueva could put his job as Brewers' set-up man in jeopardy, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.
"Villanueva has had one good outing all spring as far as I'm concerned," manager Ken Macha said. "The other outings he's pitched just a single inning and been mid- to high 20s with his (pitch count)."
In all this spring, Villanueva has thrown 8 1/3 innings, allowed eight runs on 13 hits and compiled an 8.64 earned run average.
"He hasn't had too many good outings this spring," Macha said.
