Saying that Rickie Weeks’ trip to the 15-day disabled list had a trickle-down effect is like saying the recent bad weather in southeastern Wisconsin could have been a little better.
That would definitely be selling both short.
Weeks was placed on the disabled list Monday with a sprained left knee, leading to three changes in the batting order and one on the field, even though the first order of business was calling up infielder / outfielder Hernan Iribarren.
But the two most notable changes were Corey Hart, normally the No. 5 hitter, moving into the leadoff spot vacated by Weeks, and Bill Hall, a platooning third baseman, playing second, also in a bit of a platoon.
