Default Opening Day ticket availability limited as Brewers prepare for individual game sales

MILWAUKEE -- With fans beginning to camp out at Miller Park yesterday - two full days prior to the opening of the Box Office - increased sales for Brewers ticket packages has resulted in very limited availability for Opening Day tickets. When sales begin for individual games tomorrow morning, fewer than 2,000 tickets will be available, the majority of those being standing room only.

"The demand for Opening Day is so strong this year that we could probably sell every seat in Miller Park twice," said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations. "We still have additional Opening Day seats available through our Nine-Game and other Season Seatholder packages, but we expect that demand will eventually surpass availability for these packages as well."

The Brewers this year have seen a 15% increase over 2006 in sales of Season Seat Holder packages, which reduces the inventory available for some of the season's most anticipated games, including the Home Opener. With the high demand, the Brewers do not anticipate being able to release any additional Opening Day tickets for sale after tomorrow.

"For fans who are not buying a multi-game package, we are encouraging them to target the games that they want to see early in the process," Schlesinger said.

Nine-Game Packs start at $117 and remain available both online at brewers.com and by calling 414-902-HITS. Each Nine-Game Pack includes Opening Day as a 10th game for free.

Individual ticket sales start at the Box Office tomorrow at 9 a.m. but the fun starts well before that with the Brewers "Arctic Tailgate" Party. The first 2,000 fans in line at the Box Office will receive a voucher redeemable for two complimentary Loge Level tickets to either the April 3 or April 4 game (both versus the Dodgers) with the purchase of two tickets to any 2007 game. In addition, the first 2,000 people in line will receive a specially produced, Brewers Arctic Tailgate T-Shirt, available only to those who attend the event. They will also receive a hot dog (courtesy of Klement's), a soft drink (courtesy of Pepsi) and a bag of chips (compliments of SportService).

The World Famous Klement's Racing Sausages, Bernie Brewer and Brewers alumni players Jerry Augustine, Larry Hisle and Gorman Thomas will also be on hand to greet the fans, and coffee and donuts will be served to the early arrivals. Ice sculptures from Anne Marie Harder and Scott Van Vreede of Tom Queoff Sculpture Studio will be on display, and barring an early start to the snow, the "Most Creative Arctic Breakfast Tailgate" contest will reward one lucky fan with four Opening Day tickets.

In addition to the Miller Park Box Office, fans will be able to buy tickets tomorrow through brewers.com, by phone (414-902-4000) and at all tickets.com outlets. The Miller Park Box Office will be open until 5 p.m. tomorrow. Normal Box Office hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Going to Miller Park is such a great experience. Seeing Bob Uecker yesterday was absolutely awesome, he's truly a class act.
