Default Yost should be spared the ax

Had enough people been at Miller Park Tuesday night to establish quorum, a torch-and-cattle-prod committee might've been formed to escort Ned Yost to the city limits, the rare offensive breakout notwithstanding.

Judging by recent public sentiment, there are at least some who would rather see (pick one) Ashlee Simpson, Randy Moss, Martha Stewart, Michael Moore or Rush Limbaugh as manager of the Milwaukee Brewers next season.

And Yost's firing could be heartily endorsed if:

Ben Sheets and Tomo Ohka hadn't missed roughly 25 combined starts.

The left side of the infield - Rickie Weeks, J.J. Hardy and Corey Koskie - hadn't been lost to injury.
