If anyone had doubts that Brewers left-hander Doug Davis was completely recovered from back spasms, he put them to rest with a solid outing against the Reds. Davis went 8 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and two runs, keeping Cincy off the board until Scott Hatteberg's two-run homer in the seventh.
