I would say two of the three pitching matchups are favorable, being games two and three. I would rather see Park get the nod today, but Loaiza has looked decent thus far this season.

I am upset, though, that Pierre is, once again, set to start tonight. For someone who lost the job in Spring Training and has one hit in eleven at-bats, he is sure getting a great deal of playing time.

Man I was hoping for a better pitching match up out of this series!! Looks like you will be taking two of three...not to much arguing there...

While I don't think Dan Haren is anywhere close to being the ace that many see him as, following his brilliant first half in 2007, I feel that he is better than Loaiza. Considering that the Dodgers and Diamondbacks offenses are quite close talent-wise, I am guessing that the D'Backs should have the advantage tonight. However, I don't expect a loss tonight.

Doug Davis is a solid veteran, and I don't think he will be easily lit-up. I do think, though, that Chad Billingsley is a future ace and, even at this time, a great young stud - I do expect this game to be a Dodgers win.

While Hiroki Kuroda has only one game of major league experience under his belt, I feel that he is already better than Micah Ownings - who, admittedly, is solid, but not great. I do think, though, that this may be the highest scoring game of the series.

I dont think Haren is anywhere close to the ace either...tonights game was the one I had the D-backs taking.

I watched the game that Doug Davis pitched against Cueto and I'll be honest his performance didnt look as bad as the numbers may suggest. I know he has thyroid cancer but it doesnt affect him at all. I'm thinking maybe a close game here but the Dodgers will still come out on top.

Another close game with the Kuroda coming out on top. I dont think it will be that high scoring though.

I'm not sure if it will be high-scoring, as in 10-8 or anything... I just think it has the possibility to be as such. I'm thinking it will be a game with twelve-plus combined runs.

So - Juan Pierre is hitless thus far. He's 0-2, dropping his batting average to an anemic .077... yet, for some reason, he's continuing to garner playing time.

Loaiza was rocked in the first, but has looked strong since then.

Other than Ethier and Kent, what can I say? Haren has looked quite good tonight.

That's because he's hitting .067 - and the one time that he did manage to get on base, he was caught stealing. He also hit into a rally-killing double play last night.

Tough loss last night, though.

Loaiza, Proctor, and Park looked all too shaky on the whole - pitching should be a strength here, but it sure didn't look as such last night.

Dewitt has come back to earth, and fast - he also made an error on a fairly routine play last night. I still think he deserves time at the sack, but I'm not so sure that he is anything special - though, I will quickly and gracefully change my mind otherwise.

Furcal, Ethier, Kent, and Loney have looked quite good thus far. The rest of the offense... well, not so much.

Here's hoping Billingsley will pitch a stellar game tonight!

So... Chad Billingsley was rocked, and Mark Reynolds is rapidly becoming the bane of my existence.

Kuo looked incredible in 3.2 innings, getting that big double play to end the third, and striking out five! Kent is continuing to rake, Kemp is doing his best to prove that he doesn't belong on the bench, and Andruw Jones is simply terrible. I'm also a bit worried about Furcal's third error this season - he looks a bit shaky out there.

So, it seems as if every aspect of the Dodgers game needs improvement - pitching, fielding, and hitting. Ugh. Kuo was the only pitcher that didn't look absolutely horrific tonight...
