Sweet, thanks dude!
Delwyn Young is my hero for the night - I hope they find a place for him eventually, I want to see him as an everyday player.

I dont know much about him but I have a couple friends that have mentioned him before. Probably going to get in there more consistently like you want. I still think its funny that Torre had to hold restrain Bowa today...love it. lol

I love Larry Bowa's fire, and Torre's calm demeanor as a counter-balance. However, I'd also like to see Torre get away from his habitual need to start veteran players over better, younger players - he did it with the Yankees and, as of last night, has begun to do it with the Dodgers.

This seems like a first - both teams canned their starters due to the possibility of inclement weather... so, instead of an exciting match-up of two of the top young pitchers in the game, in Lincecum and Billingsley, we get to watch Valdez and Kuo. Yuck!
Surprisingly, both pitchers look quite good, combining for 5 innings pitched and seven strikeouts thus far - hopefully the Dodgers bats will wake up soon, as they've yet to get on-base.
I'm quite glad to see Pierre is firmly planted on the bench - the only more suitable place for him would be another team.

I am quickly falling in love with Blake Dewitt.
Through two-plus games he's 3 for 6, with two runs scored, three walks, and a stolen base... plus fairly solid defense. I'm hoping his limited audition has all but guaranteed that Colletti won't waste any young talent on trading for a stop-gap option at third.

In comes Lincecum. I wonder if Torre and Bochy feel a bit stupid about making a decision such as this, prior to a drop of rain landing in Los Angeles... as I talk to myself in this thread.

Delayed, following the first runs of the game, scored against the two young studs as they entered the game. Here's hoping a rain-out will absolve Ethier of some poor defense.

Bah! I call shenanigans on that entire game!
Two out of three is solid - I would've preferred a sweep over the Giants, as they may be the worst team in baseball this season, but I will not complain too much about last night's sordid affair.

And my prediction of the sweep falls short...Depressing.
