Park has looked fantastic and is my personal choice for the fifth spot for the time being. He had a sub-4 ERA in his career with the Dodgers and has supposedly been a workout warrior this past winter... it doesn't hurt that neither Loaiza or Jason Johnson have been inconsistent at best throughout their careers.

I'm sorry, but Spring Training is Spring Training. Guys like Park can work their *** off each and every pitch, while the players he's facing are working on specific skills. He'd start 3-4 times to begin the year and take a 6.00+ ERA back to Vegas.

That's definitely true - it's only Spring Training.

However, I do feel that performance in Spring Training is a better way to choose the fifth starter than to rely on pulling a name out of a hat or something of the like... Park has been better then either Johnson or Loaiza so he should have the spot. I'm not expecting more of the same in the regular season - but he's been successful on the Dodgers before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he could be a more than solid fifth starter (I'm thinking an ERA around 4.35, which is far better than most fifth starters).
