Even though they won tonight and might finish with 91 wins and the 5th best record in the AL, they will miss the playoffs, again. Angels have had the best record in the AL since April 27th when Mike Trout got called up. The slow start is what really hurt us. Hats off to the Oakland A's. They pretty much came out of no where and took the Wild Card spot from the Halos. I really hope they win the AL West. They certainly deserve it.
Such a disappointing year, but one thing I will always remember about this year is Mike Trout. He had an amazing season and went 4-5 tonight. 1 home run away from the cycle. I felt so bad while I was watching his post game interview tonight. He shed a tear after he was asked to share his thoughts about Angels being eliminated.
I love that guy. MVP or not, this is one year I will never forget. See you next year, superstar.
