Default Angels Baseball announces 2007 schedule

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Angels Baseball today announced the regular season schedule for the 2007 campaign, which includes the home opener at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, Monday, April 2, against the Texas Rangers at 7:05 p.m. The 2007 schedule is tentative with game times and TV schedule still to be determined.

The Angels begin 2007 with a season-opening seven-game homestand against American League West Division foes Texas (April 2-4) and Oakland (April 5-8). The club will then embark on the first of three nine-game, three-city road trips in 2007, heading to Cleveland (April 10-12), Boston (April 13-16) and Oakland (April 17-18).

The 2007 schedule features 12 homestands, including two 10-game slates (May 28-June 6 & Aug. 31-Sept. 9), and 12 road trips.

The Angels will again play 57 contests against their division rivals (Seattle, Oakland and Texas) in 2007, including the final 10 contests of the season (Sept. 20-23 vs. Seattle, Sept. 24-26 at Texas and Sept. 28-30 at Oakland).

The 2007 schedule also features 18 interleague contests against National League Central Division teams. The Angels, who first host the Los Angeles Dodgers (May 18-20), will head out for a nine-game interleague road trip against the St. Louis Cardinals (June 8-10), Cincinnati Reds (June 12-14) and Dodgers (June 15-17) at Dodger Stadium. The Angels then host the Houston Astros for three games (June 18-20) and Pittsburgh Pirates (June 22-24).
