ARLINGTON -- The Angels feel they need help in run production, and they talked late into Thursday night on what changes might bring results.
Entering Friday, the Angels have averaged 3.1 runs per game in September, which is barely offset by a 2.85 staff ERA over the same period.
The Angels notched a 2-1 victory over the Rangers on Thursday, but the offense generated by Jose Molina's two-run homer prompted manager Mike Scioscia to search for alternatives. His response Friday was to keep the lineup essentially unchanged.
"We bounced a lot of things around, but a lot of things that have provided us with offense are in the lineup, and we didn't want that to change," Scioscia said.
