ANAHEIM - The Angels' 3-2, come-from-behind victory Sunday meant that manager Mike Scioscia will not be asked to go back into hiding.
In his first game since emerging from a three-game suspension, the Angels woke up in the late innings and extended the Seattle Mariners' futility in the process.
The Mariners now have lost 11 consecutive games and a major-league record 20 straight against opponents from their own division.
All that losing has dropped the Mariners out of the chase for the American League West title, while the Angels used their victory to stay in the hunt.
