Despite earlier reports to the contrary, President Bush will nominate John Roberts to replace Sandra Day O'Conner.

Everything I know about John Roberts: Degrees from Harvard, Clerked for Rehnquist, Deputy Solicitor General under Ken Starr, battled for W. during 2000 Florida fiasco. The latter two are likely to stick in the craw of Democrats. Sounds like a fight, but what do I know?
