Well the Royals won again!
It's a great thing to see,them winning some games, ere's the story
KANSAS CITY -- The Royals scored early and in bunches on Thursday night and All-Star left-hander Mark Redman made it stand up as Kansas City cruised to a 6-2 victory against the Blue Jays at Kauffman Stadium.
The Royals notched a run in the first inning for the sixth time in eight games and scored in the first four innings. Doug Mientkiewicz had two run-scoring doubles, Mark Teahen hit a solo home run and Emil Brown knocked a two-run single. Kansas City also scored on a throwing error by Toronto shortstop John McDonald.
It proved to be more than enough support for Redman, who made his first start since being named an American League All-Star on Sunday. The big lefty retired the first nine batters he faced before walking Reed Johnson to lead off the fourth. He allowed five hits -- two to begin the ninth -- falling an inning short of his first complete game since May 14, 2005.
Redman was a member of the Pirates then. Fittingly, Pittsburgh is where the Midsummer Classic will be held this season.
Kansas City came one hit short of logging double-digit totals in that category for the third straight game. The victory was the Royals' third in a row, one shy of their season high.
