2013 Hall hopefuls must wait until next year
2013 Hall hopefuls must wait until next year

For the first time since 1996 and only the second since 1971, eligible members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America did not vote in a single player from a ballot of 37 candidates that was deep and controversial.

I find it silly that no player is going to the HoF this year. There are plenty of clean players to choose from that should have gotten in this year. Maybe it's time for the Hall to start thinking about revoking some BBWAA members or changing the voting process. I'd love to here why Greg Maddux isn't getting 100% of their vote next year. I am aware that no one has ever gotten 100% of the vote, not even the HoF Charter members, but that doesn't mean that it's right. All it proves, is that the BBWAA has always had clowns in its ranks. Maddux would be the perfect guy to get 100% of their vote, because he earned 355 wins in 5000+ IP with a 3.16 ERA and 1.14 WHIP during the "Steroids Era"; he navigated some of the most power laden line-ups in the history of the game and still dominated. Any writer not voting for him next year should lose their right to vote.

I'm still waiting for Big Frank Thomas to get in. The writers are complete idiots. Thomas NEVER failed a drug test.. he's just naturally big. But oooh, he played during the 'steriod era', so he MUST'VE taken steroids.
Writers Logic.. SMH

Frank Thomas is still not eligible, but he will be next year. He deserved to get in, he was always for PEDs testing long before MLB and the Union thought it was a good idea (not before the Government twisted their arms though).

Ah I didn't know that.. but that's what they were saying on MLB Tonight.. accusing him of his PED's just because he's a huge guy.

I wonder if they'll do that to Albert Pujols as well.. even though he said if he's ever got with roids, he'd allow all his stats to be stripped away.

Who wouldn't vote? I mean, really.. it's a once in a lifetime chance (maybe twice), but it's not going to come that much, and their votes actually do something, they're not just pointless votes.. I know I would vote without a doubt, even if I didn't like the ballot.
